The Human Limits: Series 1 This series goes in pursuit of people with extraordinary skills that go beyond what is ordinarily deemed humanly possible.
[edit] The Physical Masters
In this part, the focus is set on four individuals going beyond their physical boundaries. There’s freediving world record holder Herbert Nitsch who can hold his breath for more than nine minutes, “ice man” Wim Hof who likes going for a walk in the Arctic preferably without clothes, human echolocation expert Daniel Kish who can ride a bicycle despite his blindness and Bavarian ice climbing champion Ines Papers. How do they all manage to control their bodies? „Human Limits“ has the answer.
[edit] Super Talents
Halvor Angvik loves the mountains, but certainly not for the view: He is a wingsuit flier. Reaching a speed of up to 200 kilometers per hour, he rushes through the sky just like a bird. Sebastian Steudtner is another adrenaline junkie. As one of the world’s best surfers, he’s on a constant quest for the biggest wave. Finally, “electric man” Biba Struja can withstand million volt shocks without taking any damage. “The Human Limits I” tells the thrilling story of people going beyond their limits.
[edit] Super Brains
Every human brain is a high-performance machine. But some people are real “Superbrains”. Like Michael und Matthew Youlden. The twins speak more than 20 languages fluently. Sebastian und Philipp Weyer are also twins. They solve the Rubik’s Cube in seconds. Elisabeth Sulsers‘life is colourful: When listening to music, she sees the G in blue and C in red. Finally, there’s Derek Amato who became a musical genius after an accident. “The Human Limits II” portrays these extraordinary personalities.
[edit] Masters of the Mind
In this part, six talents prove their extraordinary abilities and show how they control their mind. There’s Lukas Irmler who’s slacklining in dizzying heights above the abyss, Shaolin monk Shi Yan Yao who has spent his whole life practicing meditation and can bend a steel bar with his neck and mathematical super brains Gert Mittring and RĂ¼diger Gramm who can solve nearly every arithmetic problem without a pocket calculator. “Human Limits” is revealing the mystery of those mind controllers.
